April Showers Bring May Flowers

The weather for the past few days has been nothing but rain, with no hope for sunshine until Wednesday. There are cars driving cautiously, students soaking wet with their heads down as they travel across campus, and bright, pink flowers drinking up the fresh water. What I love about rain is that it brings life. Water is the basis for life on Earth, and all of the animals, plants, fungi, and bacteria are flourishing with the cool, wet rain falling from the sky.

Taking photographs after a recent storm produces breathtaking shots. The lighting, colors, and shapes that are captured are uncreatable. Only Mother Earth is capable of producing such beauty. Isn't it a blessing that we get to not only observe nature's beauty in person, but relive the moments with the press of a button.
