Cooking, baking, kitchen prep... you name it, I have tried it. I have had more baking and cooking disasters than you can count. All of these experiences have allowed me to gain the knowledge to prepare sides, appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Who can I thank for my passion? There could be a lot of individuals I could owe my love of cooking to, but one women stands out in particular. Her name is Julia Child.
Why?
Because she never gave up. She grew up in a time where women did not have the same level of success as men. She started cooking later in life at the age of 37, and soon became an international sensation. It all started with a dream- a dream to cook delicious food. Her 6 foot 2 frame allowed her to stand out in a crowd, and she gained the world's respect all throughout her life. Since her passing in 2004, she has had a movie produced involving her life, Julie and Julia, and Julia's books, "My Life in France" and "Mastering the Art of French Cooking", can be found in bookstores all over the globe.

Her dedication to her passion inspires me every day to give it my all, especially in the kitchen.
